Jerry Brecheisen (pronounced “Breck-eye-zen) is an author, humorist, conference speaker, and musician who currently serves as Director of Media for his denomination’s Department of Communications.

With nearly 30 years of parish ministry (22 years as senior pastor in multiple staff churches), his pastoral ministry has included serving as hospital and fire department chaplain, national and international speaking itineraries, writing, and hosting his own religious TV program. He is the author or co-author of 15 books and has edited and compiled 30 other books, manuscripts, and audiovisual scripts. Jerry is also a columnist, both print and online. His weekly column, “Hope Above the Headlines” offers a humorous and positive application of Bible principles to current headlines.

An accomplished pianist, he has recorded 5 albums and has composed over 200 gospel songs and choruses. Left with partial facial paralysis resulting from a tumor near the brain, his story of overcoming a life-threatening surgery, near-death experience, and physical recovery is told in his book God’s Healing for Your Trauma: A Personal Journey.

Jerry resides with his wife, Carol, in Fishers, Indiana.
